Disability Claim Assistance
If you are no longer able to work because you have Fibromyalgia, you may qualify for Disability Benefits.
In the past it was almost impossible for people to receive benefits for FMS - related disability; over the past few years, that has changed a lot.
You should at least check the facts.
There are several sites on the internet that explain the rules. It is still pretty confusing, though.
You will probably need a special "disability attorney" to file and follow your claim for you. Not many with FMS could do it themselves.
One good thing is you don't have to pay anything out of pocket to get this help. The fee can come out of any back benefits your receive, and there is a maximum of $5300.
If you do not qualify and receive benefits, you owe them nothing. You can be pretty sure that they will do their best to succeed.
Of course, if you could do this yourself, you would save that fee.
There are some law firms that only do Disability / Social Security claims.
Look under Attorneys / Disability in your local Yellow Pages.
Ask them how many cases of Fibromyalgia they have successfully represented.
Most will give you a free initial consultation if you ask.
If a man does not keep pace with his companions,
perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music which he hears,
however measured or far away.
